OUT OF THE SKIES
In 2021 Black Banjo has released their first album, titled “Out of the skies”, featuring important international artists such as “Blue” Lou Marini, from the original Blues Brothers band, and Nathaniel Peterson, former bass player and lead vocalist of Savoy Brown and Grammy nominee for Hubert Sumlin’s 2004 album “About Them Shoes” (featuring Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, James Cotton).
The title track is inspired by the native Americans forced to leave their homeland to survive, with no chances to ever go back home, hopeless about their children's future. Sadly, nowadays, it seems that history is still repeating as many desperate people are forced out of Mexico to the US seeking for a better life as well as people from Africa to Europe fleeing from poverty and conflict.
